Fishing Update: Electrofishing Schedule

Hello everyone!

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the fall season and have had some time to get out on the water, enjoy the beautiful fall colors, and take advantage of the fishing!

We wanted to share an important update from Wyoming Game and Fish regarding upcoming work on the Snake River. During the last two weeks of October, the team will be conducting electrofishing to collect genetic samples from Snake River cutthroat trout.

Only a small number of samples are needed from each stretch of river, so this work is not expected to significantly impact fishing. However, we wanted to keep everyone informed of the planned schedule. Please note that dates and locations may change depending on weather conditions.

Current Schedule:

• Monday, October 19: Moose to Wilson

• Tuesday, October 20: Deadman to Moose

• Wednesday, October 21: Pacific to Deadman

• Thursday, October 22: South Park to Astoria

• Tuesday, October 27: Astoria to West Table

• Wednesday, October 28: Fish Creek to South Park
